The Tallinn Guide Association was founded in 1992.
Our aim is to guarantee high professional level of guides in order to provide good quality services to our customers.
Only licensed guides committed to lifelong learning can apply for membership. They are also expected to honour our statutes and the Code of Ethics for guides in Estonia.
We firmly believe that guiding is an area-specific qualification and thus local guides are best prepared to represent and interpret their region and country.
We value international cooperation and we have joined two international organisations for guides:
WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) in 2007 and FEG (Federation of European Tourist Guide Organisations) in 2016. In 2011 we had the honour to organise the 14th WFTGA Convention in Tallinn.
There are 150 members in our association working in 20 different languages.
To book a tour you’re very welcome to contact our members directly. Should you need advice or help, you can also contact our secretariat – info@tgy.ee.
